Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 November 2026
This policy explains how Farol Markets handles personal data. Farol Markets is operated by ACG (acg.foundation), which is responsible for your data. Payments are processed by Whop, which acts as payment processor. We follow Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law No. 13,709/2018) and, for users in Portugal and the rest of the European Union, the GDPR. Where these laws differ, we apply the one that protects you most.
1. Data we collect
Name, email, a WhatsApp number if you choose to give one, payment data (handled by Whop, the payment processor; we never receive your full card number), how you use the student area, and, only with your consent, the ad-measurement data of the Whop Pixel described below.
2. Why we use it
To deliver the course, provide support, send you messages about your account, issue invoices, improve the product and, with your consent, measure and target ads.
3. Legal bases
Performing our contract with you, your consent, our legitimate interests and our legal obligations, depending on the purpose.
4. Sharing and international transfers
We share data only with providers we need to run the service: Whop (payment processing, receipts and refunds, under its own privacy policy), Cloudflare (hosting and email) and, with consent, the Whop Pixel for ad measurement. Some of them process data outside your country. When that happens we rely on safeguards the law accepts, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
5. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent at any time. Students can download or delete their data in My Account → Privacy. You can also complain to your data protection authority, such as Brazil's ANPD (National Data Protection Authority) or Portugal's CNPD (National Data Protection Commission).
6. Retention and security
We keep data only as long as the purposes and our legal obligations (such as tax records) require, with access controls and encryption in transit.
7. Cookies and the Whop Pixel
We only use what the site needs to work (login, security and your language and consent choices), plus one optional tracker: the Whop Pixel, from Whop, which measures which of our ads bring people here. It is off by default and only loads if you click “Accept” in the cookie banner; the legal basis is your consent. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a decline.
With your consent, the pixel records page views, browser and device details, approximate location and the page or ad that brought you, plus when you view the pricing or course pages, sign up for the free mini-course, send the contact form or click to email us. When you sign up or send the contact form, the name and email you typed are included, so the ad platforms we use (for example Meta, Google or TikTok) can tell whether one of their ads brought you. Payments are measured by Whop's own checkout, not by this pixel.
One exception: when we test our own setup from our Whop dashboard, Whop opens the site with a one-time whop_verify link. In that tab only, and for at most 10 minutes, the pixel loads without asking. Ordinary visits never include this link. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Details are in the Cookie Policy.
8. Children
The platform is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
9. Contact for privacy
For any privacy request, write to support@farolmarkets.com. We reply within 30 days.
