1. The short version
This website only stores what it needs to work. The one exception is the Whop Pixel, which helps us measure which of our ads bring people to the site. It is off by default and only runs if you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page or the button below.
2. What this site stores in your browser
Only what the site needs to work as you asked. None of it is used to track you across websites.
- acg_session (cookie, first party): keeps you signed in to the student area. 30 days, or until you log out.
- lm_lang (cookie, first party): remembers the language you chose. 1 year.
- lm_ref (cookie, first party): keeps the referral code of an affiliate link you followed, so the affiliate is credited if you buy. 30 days.
- lm_free_course (cookie, first party): unlocks the free mini-course lessons after you sign up. 1 year.
- farol-consent (local storage, first party): remembers whether you accepted or declined the ads pixel, so we don't ask on every page. Until you clear it or change your choice.
- lm_intro (session storage) and the video player settings (local storage): the opening animation plays once per visit, and the player remembers volume, speed and where you stopped.
3. Optional: the Whop Pixel (only with your consent)
We run some ads for Farol Markets. To know which ads actually bring visitors and students, we use the Whop Pixel from Whop, the platform that also processes our payments. If you accept, a script loads from t.whop.tw and records that a page was viewed, along with technical details such as your browser, device, approximate location and the page or ad that brought you here. Whop may set its own cookies or similar identifiers for this.
It also records a few moments that matter to us: when you view the pricing or course pages, when you sign up for the free mini-course, when you send the contact form and when you click to email us. When you sign up or send the form, the name and email you entered are included, so the ad platforms we use (for example Meta, Google or TikTok) can tell whether one of their ads brought you. Payments are measured by Whop's own checkout, not by this pixel.
One exception to the banner: when we test our own setup from our Whop dashboard, Whop opens the site with a one-time whop_verify link. In that tab only, and for at most 10 minutes, the pixel loads without asking, so Whop can confirm it works. Ordinary visits never include this link.
- Purpose: advertising measurement and attribution.
- Legal basis: your consent. If you decline, or never answer, it doesn't load.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends this signal, we treat it as a decline and the pixel never loads.
- Provider's terms: Whop handles this data under its own privacy policy (whop.com/privacy).
4. Security cookies from our host
Our host, Cloudflare, may set strictly necessary security cookies (for example __cf_bm or cf_clearance) to tell people from bots and protect the site from attacks. They don't track you across websites and expire within minutes to hours.
5. Checkout
The payment form is Whop's secure checkout. Whop and its payment partners may set their own cookies there, for example to process the payment and prevent fraud. Those cookies are covered by Whop's own policies, not this one.
6. Your choices
Use “Cookie settings” to accept or decline the ads pixel at any time. If you decline after accepting, the page reloads without it. You can also clear or block cookies and site storage in your browser settings; you would then need to sign in and choose your language again.
If we add any other optional cookies or trackers, we'll update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it. Questions: support@farolmarkets.com. Farol Markets is operated by ACG (acg.foundation). Payments are processed by Whop, which acts as payment processor.
You can reopen the banner at any time with this button.
